I worked with Jim as his job coach. He was an amazing, soft and big hearted, loving man! He ALWAYS had a smile on his face and always happy to see his friends. Earth lost a great man, heaven truly gained an angel. God bless. Hugs and prayers.

So sorry to hear of James passing. He was someone I felt blessed to have met. He played the piano for my daughter and I. We both were so mesmerised by his amazing gift. He inspired my daughter to play the piano! He was a very kind man that will dearly be missed. I will cherish the scarfs he crocheted and gifted to me.

I am so sad to find this obituary. I was a college classmate of Jim's at Rice and so enjoyed playing music with him! I'd tried to find him over the years and had never been able to. He just kind of disappeared one day. I have recently started playing flute again and have been looking up old music friends. Jim was such a warm, king, generous guy - what a loss! And so sad that he was sick all these years. Many hugs to his family.
