Sending our love and prayers of peace to Lee and all of the family. I have wonderful memories of spending time with my Nelson cousins in Tioga. I, especially, remember playing basketball with Vernon. We had a nice visit with Vernon several years ago where he took us to our grandparents' homestead there. You will be missed, but we know we will see you again in a far more glorious place!

Vernon’s Family, we are so sad that Vernon passed away. I speak for the entire Class of THS CLASS OF 1967. We will miss him. He never missed a class reunion. And we ll miss him at all of our Tioga High School basketball games. He was one of the great fans of the Pirates! And was so fun to sit with. He was a great friend to all and a great basketball player for THS in the 60’s. May he RIP. Xo Linda Faye and Gary Raan and family

I would like to express my condolences to Lee and family on the loss of Vernon. A memory I have was in High School where we both played the alto saxophone in band.
Vernon was also very special to my late parents, Peter and Grace Larson who farmed near him.
May the many special memories of Vernon be of comfort in the time to come.
Our Sincere Sympathy,
Pauline and Don Benke
