Marvin Larry Strasheim
May 4, 1942 - January 14, 2025

Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 82

Marvin “Bop” Larry Strasheim passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of January 14, 2025. He was born on May 4, 1942, in Sidney, Montana, to Conrad and Helen Strasheim, and was the youngest of their five children.

Marvin grew up in Sidney and attended school until the age of 15. At that time, he began farming independently to help his family after his father underwent surgery and a lengthy recovery. In 1966, Marvin married his wife of 58 years, Toni. Together, they purchased the family farm and made it their lifelong home. The couple had two children, Danny (born 1966) and Kim (born 1970).

Marvin had a deep passion for sports, and his love for the game was evident as he cheered for his children and grandchildren at their games throughout the years. He and Toni also enjoyed many family trips, creating lasting memories with their children and grandchildren. The whole family was fortunate enough to have made it to Disney one last time this past May.

Each winter, Marvin and Toni would spend a couple of months in Dallas, Texas, visiting their daughter Kim and her family. Their son Danny and his wife LeeAnn live just down the road, so he received daily visits from Danny and great-grandkids at Bop’s house.

Marvin’s talents included gardening and woodworking. He created many special projects for his family over the years such as hutches, baby doll cribs, and seasonal decor. He actually cut the tip of his pointer finger off while making the ladies of the family some cute wooden snowmen and reindeer.

Marvin cherished his daily coffee gatherings with friends at Sunny's and The Depot. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Toni; children Danny (LeeAnn) Strasheim and Kimberly (Gary) Netz; grandchildren Chelsea (Shay) Steinbeisser, Cade (Alex) Strasheim, Carlee (Aaron) Entz, Ashleigh (Seth) Jones, Alleigh Netz, Zach Netz, and Sara (Dan) Gordon; and great-grandchildren Cambri, Tatum, and Briar Steinbeisser, Freya Strasheim, Oakland Entz, Alaina and Charlotte Gordon, and Christopher Netz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Helen Strasheim, and his siblings, Donald Strasheim, Harold Strasheim, Dorothy Marker and Caroline Kling.
